MyWacker
Privacy policy
MyWacker is a workout tracker in beta. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, where it's kept and what you can do about it. Questions? Email mywacker26@gmail.com.
What we collect
- When you join the waitlist: your email address and which page you signed up from.
- When you fill in the questionnaire: your answers. They can include your name, age, height, weight, training history, goals, injuries and health conditions.
- When you're a beta member: your email address, your name and a password. We only keep a scrambled version of your password that can't be turned back into it. We also keep the workout plan we write for you, the sets, weights, reps, times and body weights you log, and when you last logged in or opened the app.
- On your phone: the app keeps a copy of your plan and logs in your browser's storage, so each set is saved the moment you log it. A log-in cookie keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- When you visit the website: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies and without following you around the web. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the service running and secure.
How we use it
- To build your plan from your answers and adjust it as you go.
- To run the app: show your plan, save what you log and chart your progress.
- To email you your invite, password reset links and replies to your messages.
- To keep MyWacker secure, for example by slowing down repeated failed log-ins.
- Your coach, a MyWacker admin, can see your plan and your logs so they can adjust your training.
What we don't do. We don't sell your data. We don't use your body, health or workout data for advertising. We only share it with the services below, which run MyWacker for us.
Where it's kept
- Cloudflare hosts the website and the app, and stores accounts, plans and logs.
- Google stores waitlist sign-ups and questionnaire answers in Google Sheets and Google Drive, and sends our emails through Gmail.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts on our pages, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
These services may store data outside your country.
Health information
Your questionnaire can include health information. We use it only to build a safer plan for you. If you report a health red flag, we ask you to get a doctor's go-ahead before you start. MyWacker gives general fitness guidance, not medical advice.
How long we keep it
- Your account, plan and logs: until you delete your account, or until the beta closes. We'll tell you before that happens.
- Waitlist sign-ups and questionnaire answers: until you ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them to set up your plan.
When you delete your account in the app, your account, plan and logs are erased from our database straight away. To delete your questionnaire answers or your waitlist sign-up too, email us.
Your choices
- Download your data: in the app, open your account (the person icon), then Your data.
- Correct it: change your password in the app, or email us to fix anything else.
- Delete it: in the app, open your account, then Delete your account. Or email us.
- Stop emails: reply to any of our emails and tell us.
Security
Passwords are stored as salted hashes. All traffic uses HTTPS. Repeated failed log-ins are slowed down. Only MyWacker admins can see members' plans and logs.
Age
MyWacker is for people aged 18 and over.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data, we'll email beta members first.
